About

The most complex knots comprise a single piece of string.
Growing up in the French and Swiss Alps, I forged a deep connection with nature and sustainability. I’ve carried this with me through my life. I’ve lived in Beijing, Vienna, Taipei, Zurich, Singapore, Edinburgh, and Hong Kong – and a few places besides. I’ve lived and worked in sandstorms, -15°C winters, typhoons, earthquakes, and blistering heat with power cuts.
Context matters in sustainability. Co-existing with nature varies hugely from place to place. One size does not fit all.
But common needs unite different contexts. People everywhere need a future that includes us. We need security, a future we can believe in, dignity, joy, community.
I’ve travelled far, and come full circle.
At 20 I camped under the stars on the Great Wall of China, waking to eagles circling above me. Now, I make medicines and cosmetics from trees, herbs, and flowers in my garden.
I am an environmentalist and human. I want to help build an equally bright, dignified future for everyone.
